Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Fabrication/Warehouse Associate in Orlando, Florida, to join their small warehouse team focused on hollow metal product handling. This hands-on role requires 1-3 years of experience with light-gauge sheet metal fabrication, proficiency in using power tools such as grinders and drills, and basic computer skills. About the Role

Join a small warehouse team responsible for fabrication and material handling of hollow metal products. The Fabrication/Warehouse Associate will perform light-gauge sheet metal and hollow‑metal frame fabrication, operate power tools and material‑handling equipment, assist with shipping/receiving, and support day‑to‑day warehouse operations. This is a hands‑on role that requires attention to quality, safety and basic computer skills.

We are hiring for FIRST SHIFT

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble hollow metal frames and other sheet metal components according to specifications and work orders.
• Weld light‑gauge materials (14 ga – 18 ga) and perform related metalwork tasks.
• Set up and operate power tools safely, including grinders, drills, detailed sanders and saws.
• Read and follow drawings, cut lists and fabrication instructions; perform quality checks and minor adjustments as needed.
• Perform material handling duties: unload/load shipments, stage materials for production, move finished product and maintain organised work areas.
• Enter basic production and inventory data into computer systems (Outlook, Excel, web‑based tools) and keep accurate documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 1–3 years experience in a fabrication or light‑gauge sheet metal environment.
• Proficient with power tools: grinder, drill, detailed sander, saws.
• Ability to lift up to 35–50 lbs. repeatedly and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, reaching).
• Material handling experience in a warehouse or fabrication setting.
• Basic computer competency: Microsoft Outlook, Excel and web navigation.
• Experience using handheld barcode/scan guns.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle complex issues and problems.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to pass all required drug screen and background checks.
