Job summary

Allied with Allegion Steelcraft, the Industrial Technician role focuses on ensuring production equipment and facilities run efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Training is provided if needed, with emphasis on preventative maintenance and responsible handling of tools and machinery.

Working first shift (6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), you will perform repairs, calibrations and upgrades to support production lines, while maintaining safety and quality standards across operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to see well, including depth perception and color distinction.
• Stand for long periods and maintain balance.
• Must frequently lift 25–50 lbs., bend, twist, reach overhead and to the side.
• Occasionally walk, push & pull heavy carts; climb, kneel and crouch as needed.

• Troubleshoot causes of equipment failures and apply corrective actions.
• Resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Allegion Steelcraft is a major manufacturer of Steel Frames & Doors. As an Industrial Technician you will play a key role in ensuring the equipment and manufacturing facility are running efficiently! Supporting one of our Value Streams, Frames or Doors, you will be responsible for routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment, facilities and/or systems to ensure proper function within specifications. Hours: 1st (6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)

Pay: $34.88/hour

What You Will Do

• Adhere to all safety compliance and standards
• Perform simple to complex repairs, calibrations and modifications of equipment, facilities and systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose causes of equipment failures and apply corrective actions.
• Resolve equipment breakdowns in efforts to minimize downtime.
• Perform rebuilds, installations and upgrades.
• Perform routine tasks under moderate supervision.
• Perform production work as directed to assist Machine Operators set up and operate machines.
• Follow standardized methods of work.

What You Need to Succeed

• You must have the ability to see well, including strong depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
• You will be required to continuously or near continuously stand and maintain your balance
• You will need to be able to frequently (4 or more hours per day): lift, carry (25-50 lbs.), stoop, twist, and reach (overhead and to the side)
• You need to be able to occasionally walk, push & pull heavy carts
• Climbing, kneeling, and crouching may also be required
