Job summary

nVent Enclosure Systems LLC is seeking hands-on workers for a metal fabrication environment. The role involves surface finishing, insulating applications, and assisting in fabricating non-standard parts for conductors and housings.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a non-air-conditioned shop. Ideal applicants will read basic prints, use a tape measure, stay organized, and collaborate closely with teammates to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Basic print reading and tape measure skills preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to prioritize work based on production schedules and changing needs.
• Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members.
• Forklift certification and safe forklift operation.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk in a non-air-conditioned environment.

Responsibilities

• Grind, route, or sand metal surfaces using hand-held power tools and sanding pads/paper.
• Assist Metal Finishers in cleaning metal surfaces and applying plating chemicals.
• Apply insulating materials to conductors and trim away excess.
• Assist in fabrication of non-standard parts for conductor and housing.
• Perform housekeeping to keep the shop area and equipment clean and organized.
• Perform miscellaneous shop duties as required.
• May use power tools including router, grinder, applicator wand, circular saw; use hand tools as needed.
