Job summary

Tempur Sealy is seeking a Fabrication Technician/Saw Operator on 1st shift to cut foam plates, operate fabrication equipment, and keep accurate production records. You will follow safety rules, maintain machinery, and assist with related fabrication tasks.

Starting in 2027, the shift will move to 10-hour days, four days a week. The hourly rate is $20.95, and company benefits include generous PTO, medical/dental plans, life coverage, a retirement plan, and employee purchase discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend and operate machinery.
• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
• PC usage and basic data entry are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and work as part of a team to achieve zero incidents.
• Follow instructions and suggest improvements where appropriate.
• Cut foam plates into specified dimensions.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment in the work area.
• Adjust machines and make corrections as needed.
• Perform other tasks related to product fabrication.

We are currently recruiting for a Fabrication Technician/Saw Operator on 1st shift. Hourly Rate $20.95. The shift will be changing to 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week, starting in 2027.

What You Will Do:

• Follow all safety guidelines and participate as a fully empowered team member to achieve the organization-wide goal of zero incidents.
• Follow specific instructions on completing tasks assigned and be able to make suggestions for improvement.
• Cut foam plates into specified dimensions.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment in assigned work area.
• Adjust machines and make corrections.
• Assist with other tasks associated with product fabrication.
• Responsible for all operations of saws cutting in the fabrication department.
• Accurately key data into a computer.
• Transact accurately with scan guns.
• Daily cycle counts of all plates on the production floor.
• Maintain accuracy of all paperwork.

What you will need:

• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and operate machinery on a continuous basis.
• Ability to routinely lift objects of 25lbs. and push or pull objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours during high-demand production seasons.
• Knowledge of PC usage is preferred, as well as basic data entry operations.
• Fork truck certification is a plus.
• Must be able to pass PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) course and receive certificate.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask with excellent attention to detail.
• 18+ years of age.
