Job summary

System One is seeking a Fabrication Technician/Press Brake Operator for a contract-to-hire role on-site in Currie, NC. The candidate will set up and operate manual and CNC hydraulic press brakes, metal shears, and ironworkers, reading blueprints and a tape measure.

Heavy lifting is required. Must be local or willing to relocate, able to lift up to 75 lbs, wear steel-toed boots, and pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, background, and E-Verify screenings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, background, and E-Verify.
• Must wear steel-toed boots.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to work 40 hours with overtime as needed.
• On-site fabrication environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate fabrication equipment such as manual and CNC hydraulic press brakes, metal shears and ironworkers.
• Measure and mark reference points or cut lines on work-pieces.
• Move products and materials to workstations as needed.
• Follow instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties.
• Adhere to safety rules, regulations, and quality requirements.
• Communicate clearly with team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Model: Onsite - onsite

Hours: Monday-Thursday 5:30 am - 4:30 pm (40 hours), overtime is sometimes necessary and mandatory.

Overview

System One is seeking a Fabrication Technician/Press Brake Operator for a contract-to-hire role on-site in Currie, NC. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the area.

Summary

Setup and operate fabrication equipment i.e., (Manual and CNC operated hydraulic press brakes, metal shears, ironworkers). Must be able to read a tape measure and read basic blueprints. Heavy lifting required.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate fabrication equipment, i.e., (Manual and CNC operated hydraulic press brakes, metal shears, ironworkers).
• Able to measure and/or mark reference points or cut lines on work-pieces.
• Move products and materials to workstations as needed.
• Follow instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties.
• Follow all workplace safety rules, regulations, and quality requirements.
• Communicate in a clear manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Dependable/Responsible.
• Good communication skills.
• Successfully complete the forklift certification process.
• Able to pass tape measure test
• Able to follow directions and work in a team-oriented environment.
• Availability to work required shifts and hours.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must wear steel toes boots.
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screen, background, and E-Verify screenings.
• Setup/Operate 175- and 250-ton Press Brake: 1 year (Required).
• Warehouse or Shop: 1 year (Required).
