Job summary

E-ONE, a leading fire-rescue vehicle manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on Production Operator in Ocala, FL. You will set up and operate the shop's mills, brakes, and saws, reading blueprints and measuring parts to spec while maintaining safety and quality. This role emphasizes lean methods, continuous improvement, and teamwork.

You will contribute to assembling high‑quality components for custom and commercial fire trucks, supporting efficiency targets and 5-S principles on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Safe operation of fabrication equipment and adherence to health & safety rules.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret dimensions.
• Basic math and measurement skills for tolerance checks.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, change over and operate the full range of fabrication equipment.
• Process materials from raw or in-process parts to match product specifications.
• Position material on carts and move to subsequent operations to maintain flow.
• Perform visual and dimensional checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Read prints and understand geometric dimensions and tolerances.
