Job summary

Gradian is seeking a Fabricator in Dayton, MN to produce metal and foam components for HVAC units using punch press, Mazak laser, foam press, and related equipment. Flexibility to move across areas based on production needs is essential.

You will read drawings, perform inspections with calipers and micrometers, and maintain documentation while adhering to safety standards. Benefits include medical coverage, 401k matching, PTO, and education support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in metal fabrication preferred.
• Willingness to cross-train and work in multiple fabrication areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment including punch press, Mazak laser, press brake, and foam press as assigned.
• Perform foam preparation tasks such as cutting, shaping, and applying adhesives.
• Handle raw materials and finished parts, including staging, loading/unloading, and kitting for downstream processes.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Conduct in-process inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain proper documentation of production output and quality checks.
• Follow all safety protocols, including PPE requirements and machine guarding procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work area.
