Job summary

ISCO Industries is seeking a fabricator in Geismar, LA to assemble polyethylene piping structures by reading blueprints and tickets, selecting materials, and using hand tools. You will follow quality control procedures to ensure the finished product meets specifications and maintain records of materials used.

You will operate fusion equipment, cranes and forklifts, and keep a clean, safe work area while performing related duties.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, product drawings and tickets to determine materials and tools.
• Follow quality control procedures to ensure assembled product meets specifications.
• Maintain records of materials used on tickets; pull materials from inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Operate fusion and fast fusion equipment, cranes and forklifts.
• Use a variety of hand tools and cutting equipment as needed.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, product drawings and ticket orders to determine materials, tools and equipment needed to complete work
• Follows quality control procedures to ensure that the assembled, fabricated product meets customer specifications
• Upholds accurate records of materials used on ticket; locates and pulls required materials from inventory
• Maintains clean work area and equipment; following safety procedures concerning use of equipment and materials to maintain safe working conditions
• Operates fusion and fast fusion equipment, cranes and forklifts
• Utilizes a variety of hand tools, saws and cutting equipment and performs other related duties as assigned
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
