Job summary

ISCO Industries, a leading HDPE piping solutions provider, is seeking a Machine Operator in Corsicana, TX. You will fabricate and assemble polyethylene pipe and related structures, reading blueprints and tickets to determine materials and procedures, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will operate fusion equipment, cranes, forklifts, and a range of hand tools, with emphasis on accuracy, efficiency and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of tools used in welding, fusing, cutting, and measuring.
• Understanding of carpentry and hand tools.
• Read and comprehend safety rules, operations, maintenance, and blueprints.
• Understand geometry, fractions, percentages and ratios.
• Interpret technical instructions in diagram form.
• Proficient use of business email and basic internet usage.
• Forklift certification and experience.
• Prior fabrication experience and fusion qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, product drawings and ticket orders to determine materials and equipment.
• Follow quality control procedures when fabricating and assembling products per customer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used on tickets; locate materials from inventory.
• Sustain clean work area and follow safety procedures for safe operation.
• Operate fusion equipment, cranes, and forklifts; use hand tools and cutting equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Machine Operator will fabricate and assemble polyethylene pipe (HDPE) to create a variety of customized structures such as; fittings, valves, T's, Y's, elbows, aqua-shields, geothermal vaults, manholes, dual containment units, pumps, gas aeration lines and similar structures that meet customer specifications by performing the following duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, product drawings and pic ticket orders to determine the materials, tools and equipment needed to complete work
• Follow quality control procedures when fabricating and assembling products per customer specifications
• Maintain accurate records of materials used on "ticket"; locate and pull required materials from inventory
• Sustain clean work area and equipment; follow safety procedures concerning use of equipment and materials for safe working conditions
• Operate ISCO's fusion and fast fusion equipment, cranes, and forklifts
• Utilize a variety of hand tools, saws and cutting equipment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Base Qualifications and Competencies

Education, Training and Experience

• High School diploma or GED
• Knowledge and application of tools used in: welding, fusing, cutting, and measuring
• Understanding of carpentry and hand tools
• Read and comprehend safety rules, operations, maintenance, procedure manuals, and blueprints/drawings for fabrication
• Understand/perform math functions of basic geometry, fractions, percentages and ratios
• Interpret technical instructions in mathematical and diagram form
• Proficient use of business email and basic internet usage
• Required forklift certification and experience
• Prior fabrication experience and fusion qualification preferred

Physical Demands

• Occasionally exerting up to 50 pounds of force
• Regularly exerting 10 pounds of force to move objects
• Required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel
• Frequent stooping, crouching, reaching, and walking
• Constant talking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuity
