Job summary

Metro Aviation, Inc. in Shreveport, LA seeks a Fabrication Technician to join the PMA Production Shop at our Headquarters. You will fabricate aircraft parts from engineering drawings, operate fabricating machines, and read work orders to meet quality standards.

This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in sheet metal and fiberglass fabrication within an indoor shop environment, with opportunities for professional growth and full-time scheduling (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience in Aerospace is a plus.

Job Objective

The Fabrication Technician fabricates aircraft parts in accordance with the company processes and engineering.

Essential Functions

• Fabricate aircraft parts from engineering drawings
• Operate multiple fabricating machines
• Form parts out of sheet metal
• Repair fiberglass parts
• Read and comprehend work orders

Physical Demands

• Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling
• Climbing heights on various equipment
• Use of heavy machinery
• Lifting up to 50 or more pounds

Work Environment

• Indoor/outdoor shop environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
• Moderate to loud noise level

Work Status, Schedule, & Travel

• Full-time
• Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
• Overtime dependent on work
• No travel required
