Harmon, Inc. in West Chester, OH is seeking a Shop Tech I to join our manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, cut and assemble window framing materials, and work with metal and glass components including insulated units.

Use hand tools and forklifts, follow schedules, and maintain safety and organization on the shop floor. The role requires 1–2 years in manufacturing, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift 30–60 pounds. Prior experience with CNC equipment and cranes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Cut, fabricate, and assemble window framing materials according to work orders.
• Work with metal and glass components, including insulated glass units.
• Use manual and power hand tools to complete fabrication and assembly work.
• Load and unload materials using hand methods, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Inspect and package completed frames and products for shipment.
• Stage products and assist with inventory management.
• Follow production schedules and meet daily productivity goals.
• Operate CNC equipment by translating fabrication instructions into computer commands.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area through 5S practices.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a positive team environment.
