Job summary

Safran Seats is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor (2nd Shift) to lead a production team in a dynamic aerospace environment. You will ensure smooth workflow, safety compliance, and effective training across the cell.

Candidate will oversee labor and materials, promote teamwork, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining high quality and strong written and verbal communication. Relocation and travel expectations are not specified.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of experience in production processes and related machinery.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, plastics forming technology, foam and adhesive/upholstery assembly, welding applications, and metalworking is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems, scheduling, and reading blueprints.
  • Proficient computer literacy and ability to generate written communication.
  • Willingness to learn bargaining agreements and adapt to team needs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains an optimum flow of production through the department or work cell.
  • Actively promotes safety in all aspects in the department or work cell.
  • Provides training to all employees and cross-trains for added efficiency.
  • Develops and maintains strong positive communications and working relations; addresses complaints and pre-grievances.
  • Supervises labor and material to maintain a positive variance against standards.
  • Involves all employees in corrective actions to achieve high levels of product quality.
  • Creates an atmosphere for development of new concepts and methods for continuous improvement.
  • Maintains high quality workmanship and assumes responsibility for duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Highlights from our facility:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
