Job summary

Safran Seats in Gainesville, Texas, is seeking a Sr. Fabrication Manager to lead the Fabrication, Sub-Assembly & Machining teams. The role focuses on developing processes, ensuring safety standards, and delivering quality parts while managing costs and schedules.

The candidate should have 5+ years in production with sheet metal fabrication and related processes, plus 2+ years of supervision. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, and relocation support is offered where

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area (Business, Engineering, etc.) or 6 years related experience.
• 5+ years' experience in production processes, machinery, and equipment related to sheet metal fabrication, plastic forming technology, foam and adhesive/upholstery assembly, welding applications, and/or metalworking technology.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in similar related work.
• Experience maintaining a flow schedule of parts through the shop.
• Planning experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of managing people through effective communications and leading by example.
• Knowledge of manual machines, NC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and processing of stainless steel, aluminum and other materials.
• Ability to sustain parts flow through the shop in a timely, economical manner producing a quality product.

Responsibilities

• Develops and monitors the Fabrication, Sub-Assembly & Machining team processes.
• Manages maintenance and practice of safety standards.
• Monitors parts production by implementing new ideas and innovations which will produce quality parts while controlling cost.
• Ensures that all machinery is maintained in safe and good working condition.
• Controls manpower to insure cost centers are properly manned to achieve schedule requirements.
• Provides training and directions to employees.
