Job summary

Safran Seats in Gainesville, Texas, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer 2 to lead the technical development of products from concept to production, applying PFMEA, DFMA, and control plans while collaborating across engineering, operations, tooling and other groups to resolve issues and improve processes.

You will review drawings, propose updates to DFM guidelines, create detailed work instructions, and support new product launches, driving root-cause analysis and sustainable manufacturing solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field is required.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of production methods and process capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical development of a product from conception to production.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings per DFM guidelines.
  • Create and maintain detailed work instructions.
  • Support production areas during new product launches and address issues.
  • Determine root causes of failures and recommend design/processing changes.
