Job summary

Heat and Control is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee machining and sheet metal fabrication operations. You will monitor employee performance, address disciplinary issues, and ensure quality, methods, and schedules meet manufacturing objectives.

The role requires CNC machining experience, blueprint literacy, and at least two years of supervisory work. Laser cutting and bending sheet metal are a plus; safety and process discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining operations required.
• CNC programming skills are desirable.
• Minimum of two years of production or manufacturing supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise machining and sheet metal fabrication operations; monitor performance and address disciplinary issues.
• Ensure product quality, workmanship, methods, and production schedules align with objectives.
• Anticipate production problems, material shortages, malfunctions; implement corrective actions to minimize schedule impact.
• Diagnose tooling/equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs or replacements.
• Oversee housekeeping and promote safety in collaboration with the Safety Manager.

Job description

• Supervise machining and sheet metal fabrication related operations. Monitor employee performance and address disciplinary issues.
• Responsible for product quality, workmanship and methods applications and production schedules consistent with manufacturing objectives.
• Anticipate production problems, material shortages, malfunctions and implement procedures to offset loss of schedule interruptions.
• Diagnose tooling and equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs or replacement.
• Supervise housekeeping and be alert for hazardous conditions along with the Safety Manager.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school graduate or a vocational school graduate.
• Reading blueprints is a must.
• Requires hands on experience with CNC machining operations.
• CNC programing skills are desired.
• Two years minimum PRODUCTION OR MANUFACTURING SUPERVISORY experience.
• Experience in Laser cutting, bending and forming sheet metal a plus.
