Job summary

RK in Henderson, CO seeks a Fabrication Sourcing Manager to build and manage a network of fabrication partners across Colorado, the Mountain West, and the United States. You will evaluate capabilities, capacity, and quality to support current and future projects.

This role focuses on developing strategic partnerships, lead times, and cost considerations, with a strong field presence, site visits, and internal advisory on subcontract fabrication market.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• 5+ years of working knowledge and understanding of pipe and/or structural steel fabrication shop operations, from fabrication through quality control and final inspection.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to quickly develop trust and credibility with owners, executives, and operations leaders.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with experience conducting outreach, cold calls, networking, and negotiations.
• Technical aptitude to evaluate fabrication capabilities and the ability to work independently in a field-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and expand a network of qualified fabrication and manufacturing partners while developing strong relationships with owners, executives, estimators, operations leaders, and production teams.
• Evaluate fabrication partners through facility visits, assessing equipment, technology, production capacity, workforce capabilities, welding qualifications, quality systems, safety performance, logistics, automation, lead times, and delivery capabilities.
• Develop and maintain detailed market intelligence on partner capabilities, certifications, capacity, equipment, specialties, and operational strengths to support informed partner selection.
• Identify and develop new strategic partnerships proactively, ensuring RK has qualified fabrication resources available as project opportunities arise.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the subcontract fabrication market, providing recommendations based on project requirements, capabilities, location, capacity, scheduling, quality, and cost.
