Worldwide Power Products is seeking a Fabricator's Shop Hand Helper to support fabricators and welders in a busy Houston workshop. You will assist with measuring, cutting, shaping metal, and preparing surfaces for welding, while learning MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma, basic fabrication tool knowledge, and a commitment to safety. You will work with a team, manage small inventories, and potentially operate a forklift as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment in metal fabrication.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist fabricators in measuring, cutting, and shaping metal components.
• Prepare surfaces and position/workpieces for welding.
• Maintain and clean shop equipment.
• Manage inventory of metal materials.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Learn MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
• Forklift knowledge helpful but not required.
• Follow safety protocols and handle sharp tools properly.
