Job summary

Englobal a Gulf Island Company is seeking a Shop Helper to support Fabrication and I&E Integration in our Houston shop. The role involves learning across departments and performing tasks with safety as a priority.

Responsibilities include operating forklift and crane, using grinders and cutting torches, and reading tape measures for fabrication work. Weekend/overtime availability and pre-employment screening are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience in Metal Fabrication or Construction (Residential or Commercial).
• Must read a tape measure and use basic tools such as impacts and drills.
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime when necessary.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Experience operating grinders, torches, air tools and presses is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and learn in all areas of Fabrication and I&E departments.
• Understand safety practices and contribute to safe operations.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane as required.
• Use grinders, torches and air tools for fabrication tasks.
• Read and apply tape measures accurately for jobs.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
