Job summary

US Tech Force in Green Bay, WI seeks a Fabrication Shop Inspector to join a growing fabrication team. The role emphasizes inspecting parts to customer specifications, reading and interpreting inspection manuals, blueprints and drawings, and evaluating defects to ensure conformance to standards.

You will perform in-process checks on tac welds, verify hole locations with fixtures, and document results while coordinating with QA, production, and engineering to drive on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a fabrication or machine shop setting preferred.
• Will train right individual transitioning from related fabrication fields.

Responsibilities

• Inspects all parts to customer specifications.
• Reads and interprets inspection manuals, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Examines parts for defects such as poor welds, cracks, finishes, stress, and fatigue marks.
• Calculates allowable dimensional deviations and uses shop math.
• Verifies configuration of components and locations of holes with fixtures and measuring tools.
• Observes or conducts testing to ensure conformity to standards.
• Accepts or rejects parts and records results.
• Completes paperwork for each job and communicates changes to ensure on-time delivery.
• Discusses results with QA, production, and engineering; reviews others' results.
