Caterpillar Inc. in Sanford, NC is hiring a Fabrications Product Quality Auditor to inspect fabrication structures and welds, and ensure parts meet engineering specs. You will log defects and support continuous improvement using standard work and CPS practices.

The role includes second shift with specific hours and a generous benefits package. Starting pay is $21.82/hour with 8% shift premium, and a pathway to quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to use measuring tools and gauges.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar systems ATRS, PINPoint, and Geneo.
• Experience with welding or fabrication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes inspections of fabrication structures and undercarriage using standard work and tooling.
• Performs quality inspection at gates or pre-delivery inspection.
• Inspects welds to ensure specifications are met.
• Identifies defects, photographs, and records results in defect system.
• Follows CPS principles of 5S, CI idea reporting, waste elimination and standard work.
