Job summary

Gibraltar Fabrication, LLC in Burnet, TX, is seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to oversee daily QC operations on the fabrication floor. You will supervise QC Leads and Technicians, coordinate inspections, maintain quality documentation, and ensure compliance throughout all production processes.

The ideal candidate has strong welding, fabrication, and leadership experience, with a track record of improving inspection processes and maintaining high quality standards in a busy shop

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control, welding, fabrication in manufacturing.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings, production prints, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards and applicable AISC quality requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication across departments.
• Safety compliance knowledge and manufacturing safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control inspections across welding, coating, saw shop, and final products.
• Ensure AWS D1.1 welding inspections meet standards and AISC Chapter N quality rules.
• Monitor quality throughout fabrication and initiate corrective actions.
• Maintain daily QC documentation and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with management to implement QC measures for projects.
• Supervise QC Leads and Technicians and manage scheduling.
• Provide training and feedback to the team.
• Support safety and process improvement initiatives.
