Job summary

Apache Fabricators is seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee QA/QC for subsea equipment, skids, and modular fabrication. You will lead welding, dimensional, coatings, and documentation activities to ensure compliance with customer specs and codes.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong inspection expertise, and cross-functional collaboration with production, engineering, and customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QC/QA leadership experience in fabrication environments such as subsea, skid manufacturing, or modular fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of welding, fittings, structural steel, piping, and coatings.
• Experience reviewing fabrication drawings, weld procedures, quality plans, and customer specifications.
• Ability to read P&IDs, isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, and structural drawings.
• Experience managing turnover packages and quality documentation for customer deliverables.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all quality control activities throughout fabrication, assembly, coating, and final inspection.
• Ensure fabrication activities comply with project specs, drawings, procedures, and codes.
• Develop and maintain quality procedures, inspection plans, and QA/QC docs.
• Review customer specs, ITPs, WPS/PQRs, and welding maps for compliance.
• Coordinate in-process and final inspections of skids, subsea equipment, and modules.
• Generate, track, and close NCRs and corrective actions.
• Interface with customers, inspectors, and auditors during inspections.
• Supervise QC Inspectors and ensure quality is tracked and met.
