Job summary

M3 Engineering & Technology is seeking a SGS Coordinator for its fabrication QA/QC program. The role splits time between office document review and on‑site/vendor fabrication facility inspections, with travel required to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.

The candidate will review QA/QC documentation, manage tracking logs, and coordinate third‑party inspections while supporting cross‑functional teams to improve fabrication QA processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial QA/QC environment.
• Demonstrated familiarity with QA/QC documentation (ITPs, MTRs, NDE reports).
• Experience coordinating or scheduling inspections, including with third‑party inspection agencies.
• Strong organizational skills managing multiple vendors, schedules and documents.
• Proficiency with standard office software (Excel, Word, Outlook); comfortable building/maintaining tracking logs and reports.
• Willingness and ability to travel, including to industrial/fabrication facilities (some international travel may be required).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review vendor‑submitted QA/QC documentation (ITPs, MTRs, NDE reports, weld maps, dimensional reports, calibration certificates).
• Maintain and update QA/QC tracking logs, inspection schedules, and vendor document registers.
• Build and distribute status reports on fabrication progress, inspections outcomes, non‑conformances, and open action items for project and procurement teams.
• Identify gaps, discrepancies, or missing documentation and follow up with vendors to close them out.
• Review drawings and manuals for tagging and completeness according to company standards.
• Issue release to ship on all equipment and materials once QA conditions are met.
• Schedule and coordinate inspections at vendor facilities; manage third‑party inspection agencies.
• Travel to vendor facilities to perform or witness inspections; document findings.
• Attend project/vendor calls to represent QA/QC status and communicate with engineering, procurement, and project management.
• Support formalization and improvement of fabrication QA processes; cross‑training in expediting, logistics, and document control.
