Job summary

IRONWORKS WELDING INC in Dickinson, ND is seeking a Project Manager to own day‑to‑day execution of fabrication projects. This hands‑on leadership role directs production employees, manages schedules, maintains documentation, and serves as the main point of contact for customers from kickoff to closeout.

You will report to the Production Manager, coordinate material and safety, and ensure on‑time delivery with quality and accountability on every project.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project management or a related leadership role within fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or heavy industrial environments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule accuracy and quality standards.
• Strong floor presence and people management skills with accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own the schedule and milestones for assigned projects; communicate risks early.
• Direct shop floor employees daily and ensure progress against the project plan.
• Serve as primary contact for customers on assigned projects and communicate status clearly.
• Coordinate material deliveries; verify against packing slips and Orca Scan.
• Approve time entries in TSheets and monitor labor against bid allocation.
• Create and maintain Order Forms and Turnover Packets for projects.
• Own quality checks; address issues and discuss outcomes in post-job meetings.
• Coordinate day-to-day with subcontractors; ensure scope, schedule, and safety.
• Lead safety efforts and participate in incident investigations.
• Participate in pre- and post-job meetings with the Production Manager.
