Job summary

PPS in Phoenix, AZ seeks an energetic Fabrication Project Manager to lead large-scale fabrication projects within our industrial construction operations. You will plan, schedule, and control costs, coordinate teams, and ensure safe, efficient delivery on schedule.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in shop fabrication, welding, drawing interpretation, pipe and platework fabrication, and structural and miscellaneous metals, with strong PM, contracts, and on-site coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of contracts, subcontract administration, scheduling, cost management, and change-order processes.
• Strong client relationship management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Procore, P6 or MS Project, and financial management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of fabrication projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Manage project budgets by tracking costs, controlling expenditures, and implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Oversee construction schedule coordination on-site and in office settings to ensure timely completion of all phases of fabrication and installation.
• Effectively manage all project related communications with the customers.
• Evaluate scope of work and RFQ’s from customers including drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Perform on-site job walks for preconstruction when required.
• Effectively manage both shop and on-site projects as required.
• Assign and coordinate labor for executing work.
• Manage all aspects of projects from start to completion.
• Ensure the operations team is fully supported to properly execute the job.
• Effectively manage all RFIs and change orders that pertain to a job.
• Effectively track and report project progress, expenses, and labor.
• Effectively control cost in every aspect of the project.
• Work with customers to ensure their exact requirements are being satisfied and also work to bring additional value to the project.
• Ensure all project documentation is completed, stored and communicated properly.
