Job summary

Viking Fabrication Services LLC in Parsippany, NJ is seeking motivated individuals to join a fast-paced fabrication shop. The Fabrication Production Associate performs hands-on tasks across machining, pipe preparation, welding support, material handling, and quality inspection.

Candidates with backgrounds in manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or mechanical trades are welcome; on-the-job training is provided to cover fabrication equipment, robotics, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or fabrication preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and production paperwork.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Willingness to learn fabrication processes, welding support functions, robotics, and machine operation through hands-on training.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication and production equipment (plasma cutting, cold saws, threading, grinders).
• Support fabrication, welding, machine operation, robotics, and material handling activities.
• Read and interpret work orders, measurements, and specifications to ensure quality.
• Visually inspect materials, welds, and finished products for defects and accuracy.
• Load, unload, stage, and move steel pipe and raw materials.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment.
• Troubleshoot minor production or machine issues and communicate concerns to leadership.
