Job summary

Viking Corp in Carol Stream, IL is seeking energetic individuals for a Fabrication Production Associate. This hands-on role supports pipe fabrication, welding, machine operation, robotics, and material handling in a fast-paced shop.

You will cut and prepare steel pipe, operate equipment, inspect quality, load and move materials, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment in accordance with SOPs. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Prior fabrication/manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read work orders, measurements, and production paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication and production equipment as directed.
• Support fabrication, welding, machine operation, robotics, and material handling activities.
• Cut, groove, thread, grind, and prepare steel pipe to specs.
• Read and interpret work orders and measurements to ensure accuracy.
• Visually inspect materials and welds for defects and quality compliance.
• Load, unload, stage, and move steel pipe and raw materials throughout the process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment per SOPs.
