Job summary

Viking Fabrication Services LLC is seeking motivated individuals for a fast-paced fabrication shop environment in Illinois. The role covers pipe preparation, machine operation, welding support, quality inspection, and general shop duties across fabrication, production, and material handling functions.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing or general labor experience and a willingness to learn fabrication processes, safety procedures, and equipment operation. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse or general labor preferred.
• Proficiency reading a tape measure and performing basic math is required.
• Willingness to learn fabrication processes and safety procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and safe operation of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate plasma cutting machines, cold saws, grinders, and other fabrication equipment.
• Support fabrication, welding, machine operation, robotics, and material handling activities.
• Cut, groove, thread, and prepare steel pipe to specifications and production needs.
• Read work orders and blueprints, ensuring accuracy and quality standards.
• Inspect welds and finished products for defects and dimensional accuracy.
• Load, unload, move, and stage materials; operate forklifts and material handling gear.
• Assist with troubleshooting minor production or machine issues and report to leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment and follow SOPs.
