Job summary

Hydro is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor in Delhi, LA to lead safety, quality and productivity on the shop floor. You will develop work instructions, coach crews, and drive improvements in fabrication processes including metal saws, punches, ABS cells and CNC equipment.

The role emphasizes a safe, collaborative environment and reliable, on-time production. Strong leadership, 5+ years in manufacturing and hands-on shop floor experience are required to ensure adherence to SOPs and continuous

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years in a Manufacturing Environment required.
• 5+ years of shop floor experience in Fabrication required.
• Broad knowledge of fabrication equipment and techniques such as Metal Saws, Punch Presses, ABS Cells, CNC, etc.

Responsibilities

• Investigates safety incidents and implements preventive safety techniques with teams.
• Provides first response to team members when customer demand is jeopardized or area shuts down due to safety/quality problems.
• Sponsors and facilitates rapid problem-solving processes across areas and removes waste.
• Maintains personal contact with each team member during the shift.
• Develops work instructions and SOPs with team members and ensures adherence to safety and quality practices.
• Coaches and educates crew on Safety, Quality, and problem-solving methods.
• Uses problem-solving techniques to resolve system-related and quality issues across areas.
• Signs off on standardized forms to implement improvements.
• Provides supervision, direction and administrative functions to team members.
• Monitors area for normal or abnormal conditions and educates crew accordingly.
