Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.

• Requires a thorough knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, inspections processes, and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, specifications and shop orders for all manufactured parts.
• Use machine controls to cycle through production operations, setup, adjusting stop positions, and changing tooling.
• Perform first piece sample inspection with qualified measuring devices to monitor part dimensions.
• Assist upper-level operators to handle large parts and produce parts to spec.
• Operate all common fabrication shop equipment and hand tools.
• Keep work area clean and maintain a safe, orderly workplace.
• Maintain a highly acceptable level of attendance.
