Job summary

Viking Group, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking motivated individuals for a Fabrication Production Associate role in a fast-paced shop that supports steel pipe fabrication, welding, machine operation, robotics, and material handling.

The position is hands-on and requires supporting fabrication activities including pipe preparation, cutting, grooving, threading, inspection, and general shop operations; training is provided to develop fabrication, welding, robotics, and safety skills.

Qualifications

• This role is suitable for candidates from manufacturing, warehouse, construction, welding, mechanical trades or general labor.
• Previous fabrication experience is helpful but not required.
• Viking provides on‑the‑job training for fabrication equipment, welding support functions, robotics, production processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication and production equipment such as plasma cutters, cold saws, threading and grooving machines, grinders and related equipment.
• Support fabrication, production, welding, machine operation, robotics and material handling throughout the shop.
• Cut, groove, thread, grind and prepare steel pipe to customer specs and production requirements.
• Read work orders and tape measures to ensure production accuracy and quality standards.
• Inspect materials and welds for defects and quality compliance; maintain cleanliness and safe operations.
