Job summary

The Viking Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a full-time Welder for a fast-paced fabrication environment. You will operate automated welding and plasma equipment to weld outlets onto pipe, perform rewelds as needed, and ensure finished products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include reading work orders and drawings, measuring parts with tape, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and meeting daily production goals while following all SOPs and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience welding in manufacturing or production environments preferred.
• Ability to complete company welding certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated welding and plasma equipment to weld outlets onto pipe.
• Perform manual rewelds with handheld welding tools as needed.
• Load, position, and unload pipe from welding equipment safely.
• Inspect welded assemblies for quality and compliance.
• Apply required certification stamps to welds.
• Transfer finished pipe to carts or staging areas for downstream processing.
• Read work orders and fabrication drawings to complete tasks accurately.
• Measure materials with tape measures to verify dimensions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
