Job summary

Wabtec in Duquesne, PA is seeking an Operator to fabricate/assemble a variety of products following engineering drawings and work instructions. You will ensure quality and meet production standards while prioritizing Safety daily.

You will operate machinery (presses, rolls, shears, cranes) and read blueprints, with opportunities to train on new systems. This on-site role requires a high school diploma and good teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be a team player.
• Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.
• Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to read and correctly interpret blueprints.
• Must be able to maintain attendance as defined by the company policy.
• High School Diploma or related equivalent required.
• Trade school certificate or related equivalent preferred.
• Combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Interpret fabrication plans and build products according to plans.
• Use all company owned methods of operating machinery (forklifts, cranes) and adapt to new systems.
• Maintain time and job records as described by supervisor.
• Keep work area neat and orderly and follow safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
