Position Overview

The Fabrication Operator is an entry-level position on the Alliance team. As a Fabrication Operator, you will be responsible for operating basic machinery, assisting in setup tasks, performing quality checks, maintaining a clean workspace, and adhering to safety protocols. Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient and accurate fabrication operations while maintaining a safe work environment.

Position Overview

The Fabrication Operator is an entry-level position on the Alliance team. As a Fabrication Operator, you will be responsible for operating basic machinery, assisting in setup tasks, performing quality checks, maintaining a clean workspace, and adhering to safety protocols. Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient and accurate fabrication operations while maintaining a safe work environment.

Top 5 Responsibilities

• Ensure and adhere to all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage and safe handling of equipment.
• Familiarity with the ERP system and ability to utilize its features effectively.
• Learn and apply fundamental fabrication techniques such as MIG welding, saw cutting, and metal forming on standard materials.
• Understand the fundamentals of quality control, which includes conducting visual inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Under supervision, carry out essential maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and checking tools.
  
  

Additional Responsibilities / Duties

• Reading and interpreting engineering prints
• Measuring, marking out, and cutting various materials
• Setting up metalworking equipment, including plasma cutter, brakes, saw, and welding equipment
• Checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work
• Welding and constructing metal components.
• Grinding and finishing completed products
• Performing quality checks on completed products.
• Emphasize good habits such as cleanliness, organization, and punctuality

Physical Requirements

• This position may require constant standing and frequent walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and twisting.
• Working in fabrication requires constant cervical flexion, the chin to chest movement Maximum lifting weight can reach about 50lbs, maximum carrying weight is about 30lbs, and the maximum pushing and pulling weights can reach 100-150lbs.
• Frequent forward and lateral reach may be required, as well as frequent grasping, handling, and pinching. Working in this position requires a strong ability to work alone and self-supervise, as well as the ability to supervise others
• It also requires the ability to handle attention to detail, tight deadlines, responsibility and accountability, and the ability to multi-task
