Job summary

White Cap seeks an experienced fabrication leader to oversee operations, ensure production deadlines are met, and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will direct fabrication processes, coordinate with sales, enforce OSHA safety requirements, and manage equipment maintenance, loading/unloading, and inventory controls, including scrap and rebar tracking. Candidates typically have a BS/BA and 7+ years in related fields.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing.
• Certification may be required; advanced degree may offset less experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs fabrication operations to meet production and budgetary goals.
• Oversees and monitors operations to ensure schedules and quality standards.
• Determines equipment availability and capabilities to efficiently schedule, coordinate, and move fabrication orders.
• Coordinates shop activities with sales.
• Instructs and monitors staff regarding safety issues and compliance.
• Ensures the workplace is safe and in compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable fire codes.
• Makes requests for repairs and equipment as needed.
• Ensures accurate and safe loading and unloading of trucks.
• Manages inventory loss (scrap) through the production process.
• Monitors rebar inventory.

Education

BS/BA in related discipline

7+ years of experience
