Job summary

Averro is seeking a hands-on Fabrication Operations Manager in Tukwila, WA. You will lead fabricators and welders, actively participate in fabrication and welding, and drive continuous improvement.

You will develop standards and procedures, collaborate with Planning and Engineering to optimize production, and promote a safe workplace. AWS welding certifications and strong MIG/TIG expertise are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of fabrication experience with demonstrated expertise in MIG and TIG welding of steel and aluminum.
• 3+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience with proven ability to lead, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and leadership experience

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead fabrication operations as a hands-on manager, directly supervising and developing fabricators and welders while actively participating in fabrication, welding, and process improvement activities
• Serve as technical expert in steel and aluminum fabrication and welding, developing standards, procedures, and best practices while driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with Production Planning and Engineering to ensure manufacturability, optimize production schedules, and implement cost-reduction opportunities
• Promote a safe work environment and enforce all safety policies and procedures

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of fabrication experience with demonstrated expertise in MIG and TIG welding of steel and aluminum; AWS welding certifications required
• 3+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience with proven ability to lead, develop, and hold teams accountable
• Strong understanding of fabrication methods, fixturing, weld distortion control, and manufacturing processes; bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and leadership experience
