Job summary

HMT is seeking a Machine Operator in Tomball, TX. The role involves operating and setting up power and brake presses, handling metal fabrication tasks, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

You will monitor production, maintain records, and support continuous improvements in efficiency. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in manufacturing, be able to read engineering drawings, and hold forklift training.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational training required.
• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Maintain daily production performance above 90%.
• Forklift training completed.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate power and brake presses and auxiliary equipment.
• Set up and operate machinery according to work orders and safety procedures.
• Ensure material flow IN/OUT and maintain workpiece alignment.
• Perform SMED changeovers and monitor quality on each piece.
• Record production data and maintain accurate documentation.
• Identify nonconforming product and notify supervisor for actions.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery and tools.
• Comply with 5S program and keep work areas clean.
