Summary of Duties

Operates various machines required to produce finished products. Examines blueprints, drawings, and work orders to ensure adherence to customer specifications. Performs in-process inspections to maintain order accuracy and quality standards. Maintains concise router documentation and other production reports. Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

• Occasionally pulls material and stages at the operation.
• Operates various fabrication machines as needed.
• Fabricates metal to specified dimensions.
• Verifies quantity and size of fabricated items using measuring devices.
• Maintains product quality and documentation.
• Inspects products for conformance to specifications and makes adjustments as needed.
• Follows all safety rules.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean and organized.
• Performs routine machinery preventive maintenance.
• Completes required paperwork and documentation.
• Advises material handlers of specific material needs promptly.
• Maintains and meets established machine center efficiencies.
• Follows production schedules and coordinates work according to priorities.

Minimum Job Requirements (but not limited to):

• Legible handwriting.
• Demonstrated math and blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to operate punch and brake presses with proper adjustments.
• Ability to follow written instructions accurately.
• Completes training in measuring instruments, gauges, and test equipment.
• Training in reading and understanding blueprints.
• Above-average mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in decimals and fractions.
• Ability to work well with others and demonstrate team behavior.
• Good written and communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects frequently.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend constantly.
