Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Allendale, SC is seeking a Fabricator/Assistant Lead to interpret blueprints, weld carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum using Stick, MIG, and TIG processes. You will set up and maintain welding equipment and fixtures while ensuring quality per AWS/ASME standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in fabrication with leadership ability, proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and the ability to read fabrication drawings. Own helmet, gloves, tape measure, and square required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years fabrication experience in a fabrication shop with leadership ability.
• Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW welding processes.
• Experience with sheet metal welding and structural steel.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Familiar with welding code standards (AWS D1, ASME IX).
• Must own weld helmet, welding gloves, tape measure 12' or longer, and a combination square.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches and fabrication drawings.
• Perform welding on carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum components using Stick, MIG and TIG.
• Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment, jigs and fixtures
• Ensure weld quality aligns w/AWS/ASME standards and company tolerance specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
