Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead and mentor a team of welders and fabricators, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assign tasks based on team members' skills and project requirements.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Delegate work orders and plan based on Aging Reports.

Welding & Fabrication

  • Perform welding operations using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
  • Fabricate metal components and assemblies according to engineering specifications.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, ensuring they meet industry standards.

Blueprint Interpretation & Planning

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Plan and organize workflow to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Ensure all materials and tools are prepared and available for fabrication tasks.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety standards and ensure the team complies with all safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents.

Quality Control & Documentation

  • Monitor the quality of work produced, ensuring it meets company and industry standards.
  • Document all fabrication processes, materials used, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in welding/fabrication preferred.
  • AWS or equivalent welding certification is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Skills

  • Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).
