Bowhead Technology Solutions in Plano, TX seeks a Fabrication Shop Estimator to determine cost for producing manufactured products. You will collaborate with the Fab Shop GM, Program Manager and engineering to develop estimates and provide detailed quotations.

Responsibilities include selecting materials, labor, tooling and processes, reviewing drawings and standards, and gathering supplier quotes to produce comprehensive estimates. A background in aerospace/defense is a plus.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree or tradesperson with industry experience.
Minimum of three years' estimating experience in fabrication or equivalent industry experience.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal, machining, welding and finish fabrication processes.
Experience with CNC machinery, laser cutting, or press brake operations.
Robust interpretation of engineering drawings with a solid understanding of GD&T.
Strong math, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Experience in Aerospace & Defense is considered an asset.
Valid Driver’s license.

Mansioni

Determining proper material, operations, labor and machines to be utilized in production for each part quoted.
Preparing estimates for the manufacture of parts, components and assemblies including material, labor, tooling, inspection and any outside processing.
Review and clearly understand customer scope, specifications, and required quality standards from the contract Technical Data Package.
Review and analyze customer prints, CAD models, specifications, and applicable standards.
Gather material estimates from suppliers.
Gather quotes/pricing from external service providers (i.e. steel supply, metal cutting, non-destructive testing, and paint shops).
Effectively estimate labor required for manufacturing, including sheet metal, machining, welding and mechanical assembly for build-to-print fabrications.
Develop and maintain estimating standards.
Develop manufacturing process steps in conjunction with engineering and shop leadership; estimate labor run times to support that process.
Produce detailed, supported estimates to include actual vendor prices.
Identify risks associated with projects.
Maintain and update quoting standards.
