Job summary

EcoCuts, the custom fabrication division of EcoSupply, is seeking an Estimator to grow revenue and profitability for commercial millwork projects. This role leads the fabrication team, develops quotes, answers inquiries, and works with architects and homeowners to ensure high-quality, on-time results.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in woodworking, CNC operations, and estimating, with strong budgeting and communication skills. On-site coordination and safety are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in woodworking, estimating, CNC operations, and related fabrication tools.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical documents.
• Strong cost control and budgeting skills for quotes and projects.
• Experience leading high-performing teams in custom fabrication or millwork is preferred.
• Excellent communication with architects, designers, builders, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the EcoCuts fabrication division to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and top quality.
• Build and manage a high-performing fabrication team with accountability and collaboration.
• Produce job quotes including labor, materials, and shipping.
• Handle inquiries about potential jobs, technical questions, and RFQs via phone and email.
• Collaborate with architects and clients to address design and fabrication questions.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager on production planning, scheduling, inventory and maintenance.
• Develop relationships with partners to grow the business.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations and expand capabilities.
• Champion safety, quality, and operational excellence across the business.
• Maintain fabrication, care, and installation manuals for product lines.

The Opportunity

We want to hire someone who will grow EcoCuts revenue, profitability, performance, safety measures, quality of fabrication, and the professional development and expansion of the team.

This is a commercial millwork estimating position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the EcoCuts fabrication division, ensuring projects are estimated, designed, produced and delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Build, develop and manage a high-performing fabrication team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, craftsmanship, continuous improvement and workplace satisfaction.
• Produce job quotes for all incoming projects (including but not limited to labor, material takeoffs, and shipping costs).
• Receive and manage incoming telephone and email inquiries regarding potential jobs, technical questions, and RFQs.
• Work with architects and clients as a subject matter expert to address design and fabrication questions.
• Work with the Operations Manager to manage production planning, scheduling, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with architects, designers, builders, manufacturers, homeowners, and strategic partners to help grow the business.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations, expand fabrication capabilities, develop proprietary products, and drive business growth.
• Champion workplace safety, quality standards, and operational excellence across every aspect of the business.
• Maintain and develop fabrication, care and maintenance, and installation manuals for all our product lines.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in woodworking and estimating, CNC operations, and programming and the operation of common tools and equipment
• Experience developing, leading and managing high-performing teams within a custom furniture fabrication, millwork, woodworking or related environment
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical documents
• Exceptional cost control and budgeting skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and delegate when necessary
• Passion for working closely with customers to achieve exceptional rates of customer satisfaction
• Desire and creativity to design and bring to market lines of custom products using sustainable building materials
• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
• OSHA 10 and/or forklift certification, or a willingness to become certified, is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have experience with—or the ability to quickly learn—the business processes and technology platforms that support a modern fabrication operation, including HubSpot, QuickBooks, Excel, or similar platforms.
