Job summary

SAFCORE Design + Build Studio in Long Island City, Queens, seeks a designer who communicates well with fabricators and clients while ensuring successful execution of built projects—from custom furniture to interiors and events.

You will create spatial drawings, 3D models, and diagrams, decide on construction methods, and translate complex geometries into shop-ready systems. Occasional hands-on fabrication, site coordination, and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Create spatial drawings, 3D models, and diagrams for all project phases.
• Decide construction methods and materials; prepare clear fabrication documents.
• Translate complex geometries into fabricatable systems.
• Design and prototype digitally fabricated structures as needed.
• Assist with project management, construction oversight, and installation.
• Weekend work may be required depending on project.
• Perform basic studio and shop maintenance between projects.
