RowanEDC Partnership in Salisbury, NC is seeking a Fabrication Associate I & II to perform moderate mechanical assembly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will fabricate and assemble structures according to engineering specs, using hand tools and portable power tools, and operate CNC fabrication equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2 years in metal forming or fabrication, with ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and/or training certificate from trade school.
  • Two years of experience related to metal forming, machining, and fabrication experience preferably in an automotive or aerospace environment.
  • Good understanding of the physical properties of aluminum and steel.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous experience/ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Responsibilities

  • Verifying conformance of materials to specifications using a variety of tools to achieve this objective.
  • Studying drawings, blueprints and/or work instructions to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
  • Cuts, bends, and machines parts to meet specifications.
  • Operate CNC Fabrication Equipment (Laser, Press Brake, 3 and 4 axis vertical machines)
  • Setting up and operating various fabricating machines that are needed to complete the assigned operations.
  • May layout and examine metals stock or materials to be processed.
  • Lifting or moving materials using a variety of devices.
  • Wear appropriate PPE personal protective equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoots and performs minor repairs to equipment.
  • Trains and guides new employees as needed.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $22.00 Hourly

LASER, PRESS BRAKE 4 AXIS, TUBE BENDER (ROBOT), TRANSFLUID & SAW OPERATORS!!!!

2nd Shift - 2PM - 12:30AM; Monday - Thrusday
