Job summary

Southern Specialties is seeking a Fabrication Operator for our climate-controlled Tulsa facility. You will operate saws, drills, mills, taps, and other equipment, finishing parts from the laser table and moving them to the next operation.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, inspecting parts for quality, and maintaining a safe, clean work area. Candidates should have fabrication experience and strong measurement skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Previous fabrication experience preferred.
• Proficiency with measuring tools (Height Gauge, Calipers, Tape, Squares, Angle Finders).
• Proficiency with blueprints and work instructions.
• Experience with industrial machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of basic shop math.

Job description

Southern Specialties is looking for a Fabrication Operator to work at our climate-controlled facility, where components for sheet metal products are produced. Fabrication Operators will primarily be utilizing saws, drills, mills, taps, and other sanding, cutting, deburring, and grinding equipment to finish parts coming off the laser operator's table and moving the completed part to the next operation.

The hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm to 2:00am.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a fabrication environment preferred
• Proficient with measuring equipment including Height Gauge, Calipers, Tape Measure, Squares, Angle Finders
• Proficiency with Blueprints and Work Instructions
• Experience with industrial machinery and equipment
• Knowledge of basic shop math
• Prior experience in metal fabrication
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
