Job summary

Hexagon Agility is seeking a Laser, Press Brake 4 Axis, Tube Bender (Robot), Transfluid & Saw Operators on 2nd Shift (2 PM–12:30 AM), Monday through Thursday. This role focuses on fabricating energy-transition components and performing moderate mechanical assembly in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will verify material conformance, study drawings, cut and bend parts to spec, set up CNC fabrication equipment, and train new employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or training certificate from trade school.
• Two years of experience related to metal forming, machining, and fabrication, preferably in automotive or aerospace.
• Good understanding of aluminum and steel properties.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics and work instructions.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifying conformance of materials to specifications using a variety of tools.
• Studying drawings, blueprints and/or work instructions to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
• Cuts, bends, and machines parts to meet specifications.
• Operate CNC Fabrication Equipment (Laser, Press Brake, 3 and 4 axis vertical machines)
• Setting up and operating various fabricating machines needed to complete the assigned operations.
• May layout and examine metals stock or materials to be processed.
• Lifting or moving materials using a variety of devices.
• Wear appropriate PPE as required.
• Troubleshoots and performs minor repairs to equipment.
• Trains and guides new employees as needed.

Assembling structures according to engineering specifications, utilizing hand tools and portable power tools. QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED and/or training certificate from trade school.
• Two years of experience related to metal forming, machining, and fabrication experience preferably in an automotive or aerospace environment.
• Good understanding of the physical properties of aluminum and steel.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous experience/ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
