Job summary

Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies in Roanoke, Texas, is hiring a Fabrication Associate for the 2nd shift. You will load and unload the Trumpf laser and perform precision manufacturing tasks with tight tolerances under supervision.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 4:00 pm–12:30 am with a shift differential. The role requires reading drawings, using measuring tools, and applying knowledge of machining materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Qualifications

• Must work from drawings, blueprints, models, specifications, and verbal instructions.
• Must be proficient in the use of measuring instruments to layout, check, and verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Must have sufficient knowledge of math to calculate cutting speeds, feeds, angles, offsets, etc.
• Knowledge of materials such as steel, stainless steels, and aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Utilize production equipment to perform a variety of manufacturing operations to cut production parts as production schedule requires.
• Must work under the supervision of a Laser Fabricator II.
• Follow all required steps in the manufacturing standard work process.
• Must be proficient in using measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain documentation for machined parts to ensure compliance with internal, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Fabrication Associate- 2nd Shift

Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies is looking for a Fabrication Associate to join our 2nd shift team. Schedule is Monday- Friday 8 hours a day, 4pm to 12:30am. There is a shift differential included with 2nd shift.

Summary

The Fabrication Associate is responsible for loading and unloading of the Trumpf laser and accurately perform a variety of manufacturing tasks that require close tolerances and finish under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Utilize production equipment to perform a variety of manufacturing operations to cut production parts as production schedule requires.


• Must work under the supervision of a Laser Fabricator II.


• Required to work from drawings, blueprints, models, specifications, and verbal instructions.


• Must be proficient in the use of all measuring instruments to layout, check, and verify all dimensions and tolerances.


• Follow all required steps in the manufacturing standard work process.


• Must have sufficient knowledge of math to make calculations for cutting speeds, feeds, angles, offsets, etc.


• Utilize knowledge of working properties and machining processes for a wide variety of materials such as steel, stainless steels, and aluminum.


• Meet or exceed daily production requirements per production specifications as set by the Production Supervisor.


• Perform production checks to meet engineering specifications and quality standards.


• Perform maintenance and change tooling as required.


• Manual and electronic documentation for the records and data associated with machining operations to ensure compliance with all internal, safety, and regulatory requirements.
