Job summary

Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies is seeking a Fabrication Associate to load/unload the Trumpf laser and perform precision manufacturing tasks under supervision. The role requires reading drawings, using measuring tools, and applying math for cutting parameters.

You will operate production equipment, follow standard work, and ensure quality through documentation and checks. A high school diploma and CNC experience are required, with an active driver's license and ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years CNC machining experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with insurability.
• Familiarity with ERP software required.
• Proficient in using measuring instruments to layout, check, and verify dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize production equipment to perform a variety of manufacturing operations per schedule.
• Work under supervision of Laser Fabricator II.
• Work from drawings, blueprints, models, specifications, and verbal instructions.
• Proficiently use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Follow steps in the manufacturing standard work process.
• Perform math calculations for cutting speeds, feeds, and offsets.
• Apply knowledge of materials and machining processes (steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
• Meet or exceed daily production requirements per supervisor instructions.
• Perform production checks to meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain and change tooling as required.
• Document machining operations for records and compliance.

Summary

The Fabrication Associate is responsible for loading and unloading of the Trumpf laser and accurately perform a variety of manufacturing tasks that require close tolerances and finish under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Utilize production equipment to perform a variety of manufacturing operations to cut production parts as production schedule requires.
• Must work under the supervision of a Laser Fabricator II.
• Required to work from drawings, blueprints, models, specifications, and verbal instructions.
• Must be proficient in the use of all measuring instruments to layout, check, and verify all dimensions and tolerances.
• Follow all required steps in the manufacturing standard work process.
• Must have sufficient knowledge of math to make calculations for cutting speeds, feeds, angles, offsets, etc.
• Utilize knowledge of working properties and machining processes for a wide variety of materials such as steel, stainless steels, and aluminum.
• Meet or exceed daily production requirements per production specifications as set by the Production Supervisor.
• Perform production checks to meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Perform maintenance and change tooling as required.
• Manual and electronic documentation for the records and data associated with machining operations to ensure compliance with all internal, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 2 years’ CNC Machining experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Familiarity with ERP business systems software required for the specific area of responsibility.
