Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Production Assembler in Morristown, TN. The role involves reading job specifications, programming layouts, and assembling metal components with precision using various machine tools. You will verify dimensions with measuring instruments and help with setup and transport of finished pieces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two years of prior experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent reading, math and problem-solving skills required.
• Must be able to use and read a tape measure.
• Ability to understand assembly manuals, directions, and the use of diagrams and sketches.
• Ability to read and understand tape measures, blueprints, drawings and technical plans.

Responsibilities

• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Develops layout and plans sequence of operations for fabricating and assembling metal products.
• Determines tools and equipment needed; sets up and operates fabricating machines.
• Sets up and operates machine tools; uses flame cutters, grinders and drills as required.
• Measures work piece dimensions to verify accuracy and conformance.
• Performs minor machine maintenance and assists operators with setup and transport of finished work pieces.
• Conducts tests and inspections to evaluate quality and performance.
