Job summary

The Gill Corporation is seeking a Fabrication Assembler to join our production team in the United States. You will perform detailed panel assembly and liner work, reading blueprints and using SAP for records, with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include finishing assemblies, deburring, adhesive application, and preparation for edge fill operations. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must have 1–3 years of assembly or manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
  • Able to lift, push and pull at least 50 lbs and handle physical demands.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn SAP and related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Finish detailed panel assembly and liners according to specifications.
  • Deburr and clean insert drill holes before installation.
  • Apply adhesive to plugs/sleeves and panels before installation.
  • Prepare assemblies for edge fill operation and routing of liners.
  • Record material data and log information in SAP and on work orders.

Who we are:The Gill Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of honeycomb, high performance floor panels, cargo compartment liners and original equipment for passenger and freighter aircraft. The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products.The Gill Corporation is seeking a Fabrication Assembler with experience in production assembly, high attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency. Key qualities to be successful in this role are to be a team player, willingness for hands-on learning. This position assists the department supervisor in various day-to-day work activities within the fabrication department and will complete rework activities per the direction of the Operations Engineering.Reporting to the Production Supervisor they will perform but not be limited to the following responsibilities.Responsibilities:Primary duties include finishing detailed panel assembly and liners.Uses specifications, blueprints, mylar and work orders.Deburrs and cleans insert drill holes prior to insert installation.Applies adhesive to plugs/ sleeves and panel prior to plug/ sleeve installation.Prepares panel assemblies for edge fill operation.Mixes and applies adhesive to the undercut/edge of panels.Hand routes with pneumatic hand router all detailed liners using the specified tool required.Records all material and logs information on work orders and in SAP software.Other essential duties may be assigned.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
